Day 1 - Arrival At Railway Station/Airport (Guwahati)

On arrival at the Airport/Railway Station, the driver from Northeast Tours will pick up and drive you towards Shillong- The capital of Meghalaya. En-route we will have a stop at Borapani & enjoy the view of the beautiful Umiam Lake. Then we will check into the hotel for an overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2 - Shillong Sightseeing

In the morning after having breakfast we will do a local sighseeing today. We will visit the "Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians" (cathedral church), the "Ward’s Lake", "Lady Hydari Park" and "Don Bosco Museum". Then we will visit "Elephant Fall" (referred as the Three Step Waterfall). Later we will visit the "Police Bazar" which is a bustling market area in the heart of Shillong know for its lively atmosphere, colourful shops and delicious street food. Then after we will go back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 - Jowai

In the morning after having breakfast we will check out from the hotel and move to Jowai. En-route we will also get to see the fields of paddy farming. We will also visit "Thadlaskein Lake", "Lalong Park", "Sacred Grove", "Syntu Ksiar" and lastly the "Nartiang Monoliths". Then after we will check into the hotel at Jowai for an overnight stay.

Day 4 - Krang Suri

In the morning after having breakfast we will vist the most magical waterfall you can lay your eyes on. It is blessed with shimmering blue waters and sparkling sunlight. This heady mixture of nature is sometimes known to create a rainbow which is truly magical pool in nature's wonderland. Then we will visit the "Umlawan Cave" which is a wonderful natural marvel that is said to be more than a millon years old. Then after we will get back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Dawki ,Mawlynnong & Cherrapunjee

In the morning after having breakfast we will head towards "Dawki" to see the crystal clear waters of the river and enjoy boating on the river. Dawki lies at the border of India and Bangladesh and is famous for a suspension bridge over Umngot River (commonly known as Dawki bridge) constructed by British in 1932. We will also visit India - Bangladesh border at Tamabil. We will then proceed to Mawlynnong (Asia’s cleanest village). Here we will spot thatched khasi huts along the way, bamboo dustbins all throughout the village and every house containing beautiful gardens adorned with pretty flowers. Then we will visit the Balancing Rock and the Living Root Bridge (Centuries old bridges grown from tangled roots). Later we will check into the hotel at Cherranpunjee for an overnight stay.

Day 6 - Cherrapunjee Sightseeing

In the morning after having breakfast we will go for "Nongriat Trek" a very scenic as well as adventurous one (it will take the whole day but it is worth experiencing once). We will be crossing many suspension bridges and root bridges along the forest trail. The "Double Decker Root Bridge"(the trek to this bridge is almost 3kms long and 3500+ steps) would be the highlight. We will sit by the bridge and soak in the raw beauty of nature. If you enjoy swimming, do not forget to bring your swim-wear with you, you will need them when you find the kid inside you unable to hold back from jumping in the turquoise blue natural pools. Later we will get back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7 - Cherrapunjee Sightseeing & then Guwahati

In the morning after having breakfast we will check out from the hotel and will visit the "Mawsmai cave" (a stunning limestone cave), then the "Seven Sisters Falls" (also known as Nohsngithiang Falls which is the fourth highest waterfalls in India), then the "Nohkalikai Falls" (it is the tallest plunge waterfall in India). And lastly we will visit "Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama" (is a non-profit organisation and this place is known for peace and calm environment). Then after we will move to Guwahati. On arrival we will check into the hotel at Guwahati for an overnight stay.

Day 8 - End of the journey

Guwahati → Railway Station/Airport (Guwahati)

In the morning after having breakfast we will check out from the hotel and will take you to visit the famous "Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple" (one of the 51 Shakti Peeths in the country which is situated on the Nilachal Hill in the western part of Guwahati). Then after the driver will drop you at the Railway Station/Airport (Guwahati) for your onward journey to your home.
